Topping tech headlines on Tuesday, Facebook unveiled a mobile games pilot program intended to help up-and-coming game developers gain more exposure on the social network.
"Mobile Games Publishing is a new pilot program to help small and medium-sized developers take their mobile games global. Through the program, we will work with select game developers and provide promotional support for their games in placements across our mobile apps," Facebook said on its games publishing website.
In other news, Irrational Games released the first downloadable content pack (DLC) for its best-selling BioShock Infinite. Available now for download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC, BioShock Infinite: Clash in the Clouds provides new challenges, weapons, gear, and locales, for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live).
Meanwhile, more than three years after his arrest for leaking classified information to whistleblower site Wikileaks, Private First Class Bradley Manning was found not guilty of aiding the enemy, but still faces a lengthy prison sentence on other charges. The sentencing phase begins today at 9:30 a.m.
