Key Performance Outputs:

Quality check all work completed by contractors to ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times.
Ensure preventive maintenance on a quarterly basis to ensure limited breakdowns.
Ensure adherence to OHS (Occupational, Health and Safety) Act and relevant environmental legislation, building regulations, standards and codes to conform to both to legal and ACSA requirements
Ensure availability of equipment through checking that planned preventative maintenance work is completed as scheduled.
Provide expert advice to assist with the development of viable strategies to optimise life cycle costing.
Manage safety risks through monitoring safety and housekeeping on a frequent basis.
Support internal stakeholders through responding to enquiries timeously.

Technical Skills and Experience:

Matric/NQF4 Certificate/NQF5, Millwright Trade Certificate
At least 3 years? experience in Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance environment.
Experience in Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Fault Diagnosis
Solid knowledge of Airport electrical maintenance functions.
Relevant legislative knowledge (OHS Act, Building regulations, Aviation safety and security, ISO 9000) ? Basic
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Code 08 driver?s license

The ideal candidate must maintain a high level of integrity with strong technical expertise in Mechanical and Electrical maintenance. The candidate must have problem solving skills with a strong drive for results and customer focus. Planning and organizing skills are essential. The incumbent must be prepared to work after hours including weekends when required
